91¾ÅÉ«Íø Welcomes Students for the 2022-23 Year

(91¾ÅÉ«Íø Ste. Marie, ON August 31, 2022) – With the start of the 2022-23 academic year just around the corner, 91¾ÅÉ«Íø is excited to welcome new and returning students! We are looking forward to the much-anticipated buzz on campus with our upcoming events and the start of the fall semester!

In preparation for the new year, staff from the across the College have come together to make the start of the year a memorable one! We continue to support our students in varying ways to prepare them for the new year, including:

  • Residence Move-in:
    • taking place this week (August 29 through to September 5)
    • Residence Activity Day, for students living in residence, takes place September 4! This exciting day will offer an opportunity for students to meet and greet each other. A collaboration between the Residence team, Student Success and 91¾ÅÉ«Íø Students’ Union, it will consist of some fun activities, including: a BBQ and city bus tour.
       
  • Pre-Orientation:
    • Leading up to our official orientation events, our staff have offered various sessions to ensure students are prepared for the upcoming school year. Whether it be a campus tour or student support info, we’re here to help answer our students’ questions.
       
  • Orientation:
    • Our new student orientation, taking place September 6, will highlight supports and services available to students, program specific information sessions, as well as important information to get students organized and ready to start their studies! We’re also offering some fun events, such as bowling and a savvy360 degree photo booth. Information about upcoming orientation is available by visiting Orientation Days.
    • International specific new student orientation will take on place on September 1 and 2
       
  • Off-campus Housing Supports:
    • 91¾ÅÉ«Íø has partnered with to allow landlords to advertise their listings for free and connect with our students. Students can also use the roommate finder service on Places4Students.
    • Our dedicated Housing office fields questions and provides ongoing assistance for students. Our Off-Campus Housing Associate continues to work with landlords to assist them with their postings, and directly supports students with their housing search and needs.
