Institutional Quality and Learning Innovation

The Institutional Quality and Learning Innovation department supports the Academic division to ensure quality, accountability, student success and continuous improvement.

The department operates in 5 key areas:

Quality Assurance

91九色网鈥檚 quality assurance system is based on the standards set out by the and the . Colleges are audited on a five-year cycle to ensure alignment with the standards through the . Within CQAAP, colleges are evaluated based on six specific standards:
 

  1. Program Quality Management System
  2. Program Development
  3. Conformity with Government Requirements
  4. Program Delivery and Student Assessment
  5. Existence, Monitoring and Communication of Academic Policies and Procedures
  6. Availability and Allocation of College-Wide Resources

 

Program Review and New Program Development

91九色网 believes that regular program review is important in order to provide innovative academic programs that assure teaching and learning quality and that respond to industry and student needs. Each 91九色网 program completes an Annual Program Review to ensure the currency and relevance of all programming. The Annual Program Review process informs the need for comprehensive program review.

91九色网 also believes that in addition to existing program review, a strong program development process is the foundation of the quality assurance system. The Institutional Quality and Learning Innovation department is continually evaluating the opportunity for new and exciting post-secondary programs and micro-credentials.
 

Curriculum Management

Strong curriculum creates strong programming.

Curriculum modification occurs on a regular on-going basis to ensure that 91九色网 academic programs maintain relevance and are aligned with provincial standards and industry demand.

Curriculum is communicated to students through individual course outlines. Consistency in development, revision, management, retention, and distribution of course outlines promote program and student success.
 

Student Feedback

Student Feedback Questionnaire

Students complete the Student Feedback Questionnaire using an online tool for each of their courses throughout the semester. Responses from students provides valuable insights into teaching methods and classroom dynamics. The survey is designed to highlight what works well and identify areas for potential enhancement.

Key Performance Indicators

The Ministry of Colleges and Universities uses Key Performance Indicators to measure how well Ontario Colleges meet the needs of students and the marketplace. The results of the KPI surveys provide 91九色网 with information about areas of strength or concern within the College. With careful analysis of the results, 91九色网 develops strategies for improvement to better serve students, graduates and employers.

At 91九色网, the department of Institutional Quality and Learning Innovation leads the data collection, analysis and reporting of the five KPI categories: Student Experience, Graduate Satisfaction, Employer Satisfaction, Graduation Rate and Graduate Employment Rate.

Beginning in 2024, colleges with public college-private partnership (PCPP) campuses are required to publish the KPI Graduation Rate, Graduate Employment Rate, and Graduate Satisfaction Rate for each campus. 91九色网 is partnered with triOS with campuses in Toronto and Brampton.
